Three round tables around collaborative working documents of reference, ten case studies, four keynote speakers, more than thirty world experts and an extensive program of parallel events set up the universe of the European BIM Summit 2021, which will take place on June 3, for the first time in a hybrid format: face-to-face, at the World Trade Center in Barcelona; and online, with bilingual streaming broadcast (Spanish and English) for the whole world.
The summit on digital construction technologies, organized by the Col·legi d’Aparelladors, Arquitectes Tècnics i Enginyers d’Edificació de Barcelona (CAATEEB), reaches the seventh edition consolidated as an international reference event.
As in the online edition of November 2020, three documents, which are being prepared by professionals of great prestige, will be debated. Under the umbrella of the Construction 4.0 concept, they’re about the industrialization of construction, the digital twin in the BIM environment and the collaborative BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
World experts in BIM
Among the speakers, there will be BIM experts from around the world, such as the Australian Rebecca del Cicco, founder of Women in BIM; the North American professor Michael Grieves, promoter of the Digital Twin concept; the Venezuelan BIM consultant Bibian Díaz, author of the first BIM dictionary in Spanish; or the Indian consultant Ananya Narain, one of the most prominent geospatial professionals.
Around the European BIM Summit 2021, a new edition of BIM Experience, the online workshops about BIM applications, will take place on June 2. On the same day, BIM 4 Students will offer to the future professionals the opportunity to learn about the practical application of BIM. On June 3, the Talent BIM Market Place will put professionals in the sector in contact with companies in search of talent.
Another novelty is the European BIM Summit 2021 Award, which will recognize the career of a relevant professional.
