Less than 50 days remain for the World Trade Center of Barcelona to host a new edition of the European BIM Summit 2021, the benchmark event in the AECO sector in relation to the application of building digital technologies, industrialisation and sustainability, and organised by the Col·legi d’Aparelladors, Arquitectes Tècnics i Enginyers d’Edificació de Barcelona [Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers of Barcelona] (CAATEEB).
In order to adapt to the new tendencies in mobility, the 2021 edition will feature a hybrid programme, that envisages both in-person and online attendance.
All in all, the event will comprise nine hours of keynotes, debates and case studies focusing on three interrelated content areas: the collaborative BIM Execution Plan (PEB), the Industrialisation of Construction and the Digital Twin for the use of data in BIM models.
In the course of the event, three collaborative documents will be produced on each one of the event’s theme blocks.
One day before the Congress, on October 21, the CAATEEB will host the BIM Experience, a showcase for emerging companies in BIM environments to present their innovative products and services.
The Congress has also set its sights on the future, by holding the BIM 4 Students parallel free event to give architecture, engineering, building and construction students first-hand experience of the application of this methodology to projects with a worldwide projection.
The European BIM Summit 2021 has already confirmed the participation of the leading worldwide experts in BIM and from other sectors such as robotics, R&D or telecommunications. The full list of speakers is available here.
