The Col·legi d’Aparelladors, Arquitectes Tècnics i Enginyers d’Edificació de Barcelona (CAATEEB) organized on November 20 a new European BIM Summit Day with the aim of presenting a strategic approach to the impacts of the present and future BIM environment in a public administration.
The type of projects that are carried out in a large or small administration, and the use of the Base Information coming from GIS-Geographic Information Systems platforms, the importance of determining the BIM requirements for competitions and to operate internally, and the impact of BIM on each service, were analyzed. The concern to determine which directives, laws and documents make necessary and mandatory the implementation of BIM Environments in the processes of a public administration, identifying the appropriate active human resources.
