Denmark – Impact of the public requirements for open BIM introduced in Denmark in 2007

The review of the impact from introducing public requirements on open BIM in 2007 in Denmark will begin with the first national requirements on open BIM in the world. The requirements have forced public clients to request architects and engineers for open BIM in new buildings and in retrofitting projects and share the information with the clients and contractors.

Through experiences, it has been shown that it is possible to gain from open BIM, but it also takes time to get everybody on board.
