The third edition of BIM Summit becomes Europe’s reference event
The 3rd European Summit on Building Information Modeling (BIM) will be held on 25 and 26 May at Fira de Barcelona in the framework of BBConstrumat
The third edition of the European BIM Summit (EBS) will be held on 25 and 26th May 2017 in the framework of Barcelona Building Construmat, the International Building Exhibition of Fira de Barcelona, positioning itself the event of reference on Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Europe.
On 7 November, the Colegio de Aparejadores de Barcelona (CAATEEB), BIM Academy and the buildingSMART Spanish Chapter, organizers of the EBS, signed a collaboration agreement with the organization of Barcelona Building Construmat, a trade fair of the construction sector organized by Fira de Barcelona, with the aim of joining efforts to advance construction in the path of technological innovation.
France will be the guest of this third edition of the European BIM Summit. During the event the latest advances in this new method of work will be presented based on the management of the information generated during the life cycle of a construction, which has become indispensable to obtain a constructive process aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of any project, construction work and civil work.
Direct and applicable debates and experiences and debates on BIM
The European BIM Summit will consist of presentations and workshops where tools, services and products suitable for those working in this field will be analyzed. The summit is aimed at technicians and managers of public administrations, promoters, architectural firms, engineering firms, service consultants, material suppliers, manufacturers, project & construction managers, project supervisors and facility managers, and builders, among others. Decision makers that mark the direction of the construction sector.
“Networking is not collecting contacts. It is about cultivating relationships. “(Misha.at)
The objective of the European BIM Summit is to bring together participants from all European countries and from all sectors involved in the building cycle. The strategic institutions that contribute to the globalization of BIM (AEEBC, RICS, EFIC …) will be present. And also the representatives of industry, BIM manufacturers of products and software.
There will be a balance between specialties, disciplines and environments. And also moments for the continuous exchange through meetings, experiential workshops, technical cocktails and the breaks between programmed activities.
By means of interactive badges, there will be a match-making between the three corners of BIM: the academic-university and research world, public and professional bodies, and producers and users.
In short, associations, managers, consultants and professionals will participate, all seeking and finding the same issues through a very elaborate approach. The best for a decision maker.
