The second European summit on BIM
The BIM Academy and BuildingSMART Spanish Chapter have organized the second European summit on Building Information Modeling (BIM), which presented the most interesting experiences and the latest advances in this area. New working method based on the management of the information generated during the life cycle of a construction. A method that must be known and mastered as a process aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of any project, construction work and civil works.
The Second Edition of the European BIM Summit took place on 18 and 19 February 2016 in Barcelona. It consisted of papers presentations and workshops that analyzed tools, services and products suitable for those who work in this area. The summit is aimed at technicians and managers of public administrations, promoters, architectural firms, engineering firms, service consultants, material suppliers, manufacturers, project & construction managers, site managers and facility managers, builders, maintainers … In short, those decision-makers that mark the direction of the construction sector.

The Summit took place in the World Trade Center Barcelona (WTCB), a building surrounded by the sea, fully equipped, designed by the Chinese-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei.
