Bringing 26 years of experience to CannonDesign as a dynamic project manager who appreciates, cultivates and energizes the remarkable power of teams and their resulting solutions. Christine Cavataio is a natural leader with a broad portfolio of work featuring large, signature projects of all types. Cavataio currently serves as the senior project manager for CannonDesign’s Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), the largest current healthcare construction project in North America. Upon completion, CHUM will be one of the largest academic medical centers in the world, serving 345,000 ambulatory patients, 22,000 inpatients and 65,000 emergency patients each year. The 2.4 million sf CHUM will also accommodate 770 single-patient rooms, ambulatory and diagnostic centers, surgery and intensive care units, and clinical laboratories that encompasses 35 medical disciplines.
Prior to joining CannonDesign, Cavataio served as the program design manager for Microsoft’s Global Data Center Program, where she was responsible for the oversight of design efforts across a multi-billion-dollar global program. Cavataio has worked on and led several other noteworthy project globally including: The World War II Memorial, the New Hoover Dam Bridge and Bypass Corridor, CityCentre, Minoco Wharf and Huawei R&D facility. Cavataio holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Management from the University of Kansas.
